The Dunbar P1-P3 models are made from rugged, durable Polypenco which resists cracking
and warping. Unlike Blackwood pipes, these are not susceptible to damage from
temperature or humidity changes. These bagpipes are crafted with the same care and
precision as Blackwood models, but are made from a more reasonable material. Great as a
student or starter set, or as a second set for parades and outdoor performances.

The traditional way of making pipes was originally passed on to Jack Dunbar while working in
Glasgow for the famous bagpipe manufacturer, Peter Henderson & Co, in the early 1950's.
After immigrating to Canada, Dunbar quickly became sought out for his quality bagpipe repair.
Eventually, after many customer requests, he began making full sets of pipes in the
"Henderson" tradition. All components are carefully threaded so each ferrule, ring cap or
projecting mount is actually screwed in place. Only a handful of manufacturers take the extra
engineering steps and time required to do this. If you are looking for pipes made "the old
